I haven't really felt like blogging lately.
Not really sure but just don't have much to share.
Well, I have lots to share but not really sure if I am ready to share on the blog yet.
So here is a little post. Just so you know I am still alive and well.
MrB and I have been talking about getting a dog. Everyone says we shouldn't
We live in a small townhouse
We like going away for weekends
We have a cat who will be jealous
But we both grew up with dogs and miss having them in our lives.
Here are some of the dogs that my parents have. This pack live their daily lives on a farm.
Wide open spaces and farm fresh smells
Chica - My dad's Jack Russell. Fun, full of energy and always on the go. She has the nickname "eyeliner" as she has beautiful black marks around her eyes - like she just applied liquid eyeliner!
Fiesty and fiercly loyal to my dad, Chica is always the first one up and the last one in bed
Maya - my mom's Rhodesian Ridgeback. She is playful and never really grew out of her puppy habits. She believes she is a small dog and never understands why she can't follow the Jack Russells under the tables and chairs. She follows my mom everywhere and is very protective of her.
Maya and Chica joined the family a few months apart and are BFF's
Zeus - the newest addition. Chica & Piglet's (yes white dog + brown dog = black dog) firstborn he is twice the size of little Chica!
An enthusiastic dog that loves any adventure. When a vehicle is on the move, Zeus is there. A creepy habit that Zeus is is he stares at you while you sleep......weirdo!
He loves attention and will even scratch you to get extra cuddles.
He eats anything!
We all love our cuddly black dog!
Kalant - my Jack Russell
I have had him since 5 November 1999. He looked after me when I was recovering from my accident. He growled at boys that came to visit. He followed me everywhere.
"Piglet" as MrB calls Kalant didn't let MrB get to me too easily.
Early on in the relationship, we were sitting on the sofa when MrB leaned over to give me a kiss.
Piglet jumped up and nipped MrB in the neck!! Very cheeky
But MrB got the message. On his next visit he greeted Piggy first, handed him a treat and didn't get too close.
I think Pig loves MrB more than me!
Kalant loves to go for walks and his favourite is the beach. We often took him fishing and he would spend hours exploring the rock pools. When we could, we would take him to a little cottage by the beach. Piggy would stay up all night just sitting by the door. I think he was listening to the waves, waiting for the sun to rise so he could go back and explore some more.
Piggy was hit by a car (my dad was driving) and they removed part of his hip bone.
That's why he has the funny leg in the picture.
Not pictured here -
Astro - my brother's Rhodesian Ridgeback and the second oldest of the clan. One year younger than Piggy. She is loving and adores her people. She hated my brother's ex-girlfriend and loves his wife. A sign I tell you!
Belle - Piggy's first born that we adopted recently when her owner immigrated to the UK. She looks just like Pig.
Kalant, Belle and Zeus all sound the same when they bark.
